Immunization Information for Highland High School Students

To Parents/Guardians of Highland High School Students:
The Indiana State Board of Health recently notified schools of proposed changes for ADDITIONAL immunization requirement for students in Indiana schools.  The proposed changes follow:
               2017-2018 School Year  -  Grades 9 through 12
                 (RECOMMENDED)
              (2) Hep A (6 months apart)                (1) Men B (Meningococcal B)  @ age 16
                                                                     Note: This is in addition to the MCV4 (the
                                                                     Meningococcal)

                2018-2019 School Year - Grade 12
                             (REQUIRED)
 
                (2) Hep A (6 months apart)                (1) Men B (Meningococcal B)
                                                                       (MCV4 Booster is also required)

If you have your child immunized at the Lake County Health Department, bring a copy of you child's current immunization along.  Parents on Medicaid are asked to bring your current Medicaid card.  Parents without insurance will be asked to sign a form stating they have no insurance.  An appointment is not needed at the Health Department. Below is info for that department.
